Class A Symptoms: Goldfish is in distress; Goldfish floating aimlessly; Goldfish has little or no response; Goldfish is upside down; Goldfish is unconscious;

Class B Symptoms: Goldfish is in distress; Goldfish has pine coning or raised scales;

Class C Symptoms: Goldfish is in distress; Goldfish has bulging eye(s); Goldfish has visual sores; Goldfish bulging on side; Goldfish is swollen; Goldfish is gasping; Goldfish has rapid gill movement, redness at gills; Goldfish has clamped fins; Goldfish is bottom sitting & listless; Goldfish has red streaks in tail; Goldfish has black patches; Goldfish has frayed or torn fins; Goldfish has hole in head or ulcers;

Hi, Venus, I posted some photos in the thread "How to post photos"....they are gigantic, and I am SORRY! I don't know how to fix that. BUT: Thanks, you saved those fish!

However, I suppose it would make more sense to keep the filter cleaned in bleach than tossing it; I can be extreme at times; thanks for keeping the balance.

If your tank is infected, so are your fish; so treat both naturally. Maybe a tank bought at a garage sale?

Using any disinfectant retards the formation of all bacteria, including the good; which delays the nitrogen cycle.

squirrelieygrrrl; The link worked fine for me. I'm convinced bleach can be used without harming the fish, but still wouldn't advise its use.
